Sounds After Midnight is a thrilling 8-part docuseries that traces the momentous rise of Electronic Dance Music across 8 iconic cities—from its Black, Latino, and Queer roots, to becoming a $13 billion global cultural phenomenon that's radically transforming our world by fusing counter culture, drugs, and transcendent experiences of consciousness.
As writer, director, producer, editor, and cinematographer, I developed the concept from the ground up, handling pre-production, story development, fundraising, international travel logistics, and crew management. Shooting across seven cities, I captured raw, immersive footage and directed on-camera talent to authentically portray the genre's history and cultural impact, culminating in a 25-minute proof-of-concept that's currently being pitched to streaming platforms and financiers.
